Benjamin S. Harris, M.D., M.P.H.

Executive Physician for Access and Efficiency Programs

Dr. Benjamin S. Harris is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) specialist with Shady Grove Fertility. He serves as the Medical Director for the Southern Virginia region, providing care in the Richmond and Norfolk locations. Dr. Harris is dedicated to helping individuals and couples build their families and plan for their reproductive futures, offering comprehensive fertility services, including minimally invasive reproductive surgery.

A North Carolina native, Dr. Harris was born in Durham and raised in Chapel Hill. He earned his undergraduate degree, Doctor of Medicine, and Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident, and continued at Duke for his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. During his training, he received recognition for excellence in research, education, and leadership.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Harris is an assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and serves as associate program director of the SGF Jones Institute Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, where he mentors and trains the next generation of specialists.

As an Executive Physician with US Fertility, Dr. Harris also leads strategic programs aimed at expanding access to care and enhancing clinical and operational efficiency through process improvement and the innovative use of technology across the network.
